The 1st meeting for TWG on Metadata held yesterday at NGD meeting room, chaired by Mr. Bouasoth Souvannakoummane Director of NGD and he’s also a chairman for GIS committee.17 participants from 7 Ministries participated. There are 3 presentations from NGD, SMC and another one from NUoL regarding to the Metadata creation. The meeting discussed on how to proceed Metadata work and assigned the worktask for each participants as well as secretariat. The meeting urge the participants to focus on the work and expected the outcome for the first draft version before the GIS Committee meeting which will be held in next two months for consideration and approval.
